The home of an inspiring and aspiring choir
Thank you for visiting our website. Whatlington Singers are a small choir that formed early in 2018. We are based in the small village of Whatlington, just outside Hastings in East Sussex. We have around 25 members across the soprano, alto, tenor and bass ranges. Our aim is to be a democratic choir and a large part of our repertoire is suggested by members. We sing pieces from a wide range of genres and styles and we are keen to develop our singing to be as versatile and accomplished as possible across the whole of our repertoire. Recent performances have featured music ranging from Thomas Tallis to Queen, folk music by Kate Rusby and great choral choruses such as ‘How lovely is thy dwelling place’ from Brahms’ German Requiem.
We sing to challenge ourselves, but above all it is about enjoying making music together and sharing a passion for singing in a choir.
